Chromosome capture conformation with high throughput sequencing (Hi-C) is a molecular biology technique used to map the 3D chromatin architecture in a cell. We have used it to elucidate interactions between distal enhancers to their cognate genes, to study gene expression through enhancer-promoter interactions. This technique generally requires a large quantity of cells and the integrity of chromatin has to be intact to yield good results.
