High-throughput Screening

In this project, we are working closely with the Centre of High Throughput Phenomics (CHiP) at the Genome Institute, which is a valuable shared resource for functional and chemical genomic technologies.

Here, we are making use of a comprehensive collection of siRNA/shRNA libraries and cDNA/ORF libraries for both mouse and human systems, and also small molecule inhibitor libraries, performing high-throughput screens with robotics and liquid handlers, and high content imaging. Using these, we are exploring basic questions in cardiac biology to look for epigenetic regulators and potential disease therapeutic targets. The discovery of these candidates will be taken forward to validation using various experimental models of disease.
